Merry Christmas
By Owner: Bonnie Meier

Merry Christmas from all of us to you. Merry Christmas from Lee and Bonnie Meier, owners of our little store. Merry Christmas from Margaret Fernow. You’ll usually find Margaret here Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Merry Christmas from Sharon Vande Steeg. Sharon is often here either Wednesday or Thursday afternoon. Merry Christmas from Louise Trei. Louise is sometimes here on Saturdays or whenever Lee and Bonnie are gone for some reason, but you’ll often find her in her stores in Sioux City. She has antiques at the Whistle Stop, Sweet Repeats and Peter’s Park Flea Market. Merry Christmas also from Fran Muilenburg, Idelle Vogel and Arlys Oolman. These three gals help out from time to time and especially during our Tulip Festival. Merry Christmas, also from Juliana Korver and Clinton Korver. They are not as involved now as when we got started, but they are Bonnie’s children. Both live in California and the name "Jubon" came from a combination of all their names.

Pre Inventory Sale
By Owner: Bonnie Meier

On Monday, December 26, we will be open and all of our beads and findings will be 50% off. On Tuesday, our knitting supplies will be 50% off and on Wednesday our quilting items will be 50% off, including our Warm and Natural needled cotton. On Thursday all sewing items will be 50% off and on Friday discs, games and puzzles will be 50% off. Saturday we will feature Dutch food at 50% off, however, we will be closing at 3:13 that afternoon. This is our best sale of the year and is for the purpose of trying to get our inventory down a little before we start counting in January. All sales are for one day only. We will spend the month of January counting and getting our inventory recorded.

February - Shortened Hours
By Owner: Bonnie Meier

February last year was a very slow month for us. It is also the month that many people head south for at least a little while. Sharon Rens, our knitting/crocheting leader on Tuesday mornings will be heading south for the whole month. So after a little discussion we decided to curtail our 10:00 a.m. knitting group for the month of February. We have also decided to shorten our hours for February. Bonnie and Lee are hoping to go south for a couple of weeks, also, and Arlys and Idelle will both be spending several months away. So, for the month of February we will open at noon each day and will be closing soon after we have had our "coffee festival" – that’s what one of our granddaughters called our coffee time. However, when March comes along, we will be open regular hours again as we will need to start planning for the Tulip Festival, which will come sooner than we think.

Estate Sale in March
By Owner: Bonnie Meier

On March 20 we will have another Estate Sale. We already have several people signed up to bring some interesting items including some antique furniture. Our game plan is to open the back end of the store up, just for the estate sale, so that we have a little more room. We usually have up to 400 "new" items at our estate sales.

Perusing our Guest Book
By Owner: Bonnie Meier

This month we had people turn over states on our game board from Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington State and all over Iowa. We didn’t have anyone from other countries sign up this month, but we’ve noticed a lot of people visiting relatives for the Holidays.
