Beautiful Dolls
By Co-Owner: Bonnie Meier

One of our consignees brought in 19 beautiful dolls this month. Several have sold already, but they include three from Paradise Galleries, an Alaskan doll with real fur, seven Ashton Drake Galleries dolls, some that are home made and several more. We also have a Shirley Temple doll for sale and several Dutch dolls including some very old ones. Check out Jubon Juweelen on Facebook to see our doll display.

Books
By Co-Owner: Bonnie Meier

For those of you who love old books we have some very interesting new (old) books available at Jubon Juweelen. Several are very old and have a wonderfully soft suede cover. They include “A Message to Garcia and Thirteen Other Things”, which was copyrighted originally in 1898, but this one was published in 1901. Another is entitled "Compensation" by Ralph Waldo Emerson, copyrighted in 1903 and a third is "Crimes Against Criminals" by Robert G. Ingersoll copyrighted in 1906. We had more, but they have sold already. For anyone who collects old books, these would be a fine addition. Along with the new acquisitions is “Tono-Bungay” by H.G. Wells and a volume of "Great Works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle". They are all very reasonably priced.

1000th Day

By Co-Owner: Bonnie Meier

Our 1000th day celebration went well. We had a 40% discount on all disc golf items and also gave out a Dutch chocolate letter with each purchase. We also have some used discs on hand again. They usually don’t last long, so if you want a used disc come into the store soon.

We are all looking forward to spring. When we publish our next newsletter it will be here already. Then we need to start getting ready for the Tulip Festival. The new brochures just came out this week. Both the Tulip Festival and spring will be here before you know it.

Friday Special

By Co-Owner: Bonnie Meier

This month we are adding something new to our marketing strategies. We are adding a Friday special that will appear on Jubon Juweelen’s Facebook page on Thursday evening. We will offer one item at half price. Whoever notifies us first that they want the item gets a real bargain. One of the purposes of this promotion is to get people to check our Facebook feeds. So far we have offered a Shirley Temple doll and a kitty Delft teapot. Items coming up include a pair of wooden shoes and some Indian corn jewelry made by Two Doves. We will have some real bargains coming up, so checkout our Facebook.

Another way to take advantage of our Facebook promotions is to share our Thursday night feed on your timeline. Be sure and comment, too, so that we can tell that you have shared it. When we can see that you have shared it, we will put your name in a drawing that will be held April 2 for a basket of Dutch goodies. You can enter this once a week with each new Thursday posting. You don’t have to be from Orange City to take part in this contest. We will send the basket anywhere in the world, if you are the lucky name to be drawn.

By Co-Owner Bonnie Meier

Guests this month (who signed the book) came from Montana, all over Iowa, California, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Indiana and one from Zuid, Holland. We don’t always remember to ask our customers to sign, but we like it when they do.
