Welcome Remsen, IA to Jubon

By Sales Representative: Teresa Brunsting

Remsen has recently been Juboned. This means an online map of Remsen has been added to our Jubon.biz site and we hope to add many Remsen businesses to our directory. We will be meeting with the Chamber of Commerce in the coming months to discuss how we can work together to help further Remsen's online presence. They are a friendly business community in Northwest Iowa and as their beautiful Granite sign states as you come into town, Remsen is "Neat and Hard to Beat".

Originally settled by immigrant German and Luxembourger farmers, Remsen is located in the northeast corner of Plymouth County. It is the annual home of Oktoberfest which is a draw to many around the area; however, they have much more to offer. There is a hometown feel with kids days, a wide variety of recreational activities and Iowa festival of trees to name a few.

Remsen's heritage of strong family ties, sense of community, ability to have fun, and straight forward dealing as a way of life makes Remsen a great place to live and do business. Many companies have chosen it for just these reasons and also for it's great work ethic, community leaders and access to industrial and commercial sites. We welcome Remsen to Jubon.

Treasure is still out there

By Sales Representative, Teresa Brunsting

The Hair Clinic located at 101 3rd Street NE on the corner of Main and 3rd in Orange City was recently visited by the Orange City Ambassadors for a ribbon cutting because it is under new ownership. Diane Daniels is the new owner of the business. The Hair Clinic has been in business for many years and is a hair, nail and tanning salon. Current managers are Renee Vander Broek and Erin Maranell. The Hair Clinic currently has six stylists; Tina, Erin, Val, Laura, Ashley, Renee and Stephanie with an eighth soon to come. The variety in ages of the stylists bring in a very diverse clientele and they enjoy serving all ages.

The stylists love having their own loyal clientele and work to become part of your lives and grow many friendships through this. If you are not 100% satisfied with their service they encourage you to let them know so they can either give you that 100% satisfaction or help you find another one of their stylists who will. That is their guarantee. They have many great services and products and now under new ownership.

The Clinic keeps very user-friendly hours and is open from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday.

The telephone number of the Clinic is 712-737-2205 and the e-mail address is thehairclinic_1@yahoo.com. For more information refer to the December Jubon Journal.
