NEW Business on Jubon - Alton: Jellema Construction and Ready Built Homes

By Sales Representative: Teresa Brunsting

Bruce Jellema had a dream. After working for several different construction companies he decided "I can do this better". In 1977 he started a company. Over the last thirty plus years, Jellema Construction has grown to employ twenty to twenty-five full time employees as well as extra seasonal help. Today, Jellema Construction has the ability, equipment and manpower to take on almost any construction project from residential or commercial to large concrete projects. The reason the company continues to be successful is Bruce's uncompromising commitment to quality.

Bruce saw another need and opportunity and Jellema Ready Built Homes was born. He uses only the highest quality materials and the people building them are the same people that build his customer homes. The customer is involved from the very beginning of the process by having input into the design and layout of the finished product. Labor costs are lower because the building site is right next door. Stop in and see them. They'll show you how you can have the pride of owning a new custom home at a ready built price. Find Jellema on Jubon turn at the Fire Station and stop before the Railroad tracks or contact them at 712-756-4441.

NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE weBsite Features Merchants Page

By Sales Representative: Teresa Brunsting

Hop on Jubon and let it direct you to Northwestern College's website or just go to mynwciowa.edu.ics and if your deal isn't listed yet, remember to turn in your Student Deal to the Chamber at occhamberexec@orangecitycomm.net. They have been reminding us about the new "Tab" on the left hand side of the My Northwestern website page. This is a great way to connect with students. When the student shows his/her ID they get special deals. For instance Jubon Juweelen will give 10% off disc golf discs, Kraai Furniture will give a deal on carpet remnants and futons, and at Woudstra Meat Market there are deals on beef sticks, jerky and more for students. What Is Your Deal? Students are great shoppers. Change it for the season if you like. MyNorthwestern is a page that students go to frequently. Take this opportunity to advertise on it.

Jubon Treasure Hunt Reinstated in Orange City

By Co-Founders: Bonnie Meier

With the start of the new school year the Jubon Treasure Hunt has been reinstated. At the beginning of each month, go to Jubon's Orange City map and traverse the streets stopping in front of each business to look at their billboard.  On one of the billboards you will find an icon of a bag of money.  That indicates where you need to search next.

Armed with that knowledge, you can then go to that store in person and look through their merchandise until you find the Jubon Logo.  The logo will be about 5 inches wide by 4 inches tall and it will be bright ride and made of felt.  If you are lucky, maybe the sales clerk will give you a clue as to where it is hidden in the store.  Once you find the little car, then you take the felted logo to the Orange City Chamber where you can exchange it for Chamber bucks which can be spent at any Orange City business that belongs to the Chamber of Commerce.
