Holiday Greetings

By Co-Founder: Bonnie Meier

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Bonnie, Juliana, Clint and Deb. We hope you are having a good holiday season. With the New Year Jubon will celebrate its first birthday. We thank all of you who were willing to step out and be the first to help us learn how to serve you better. We are still experiencing approximately 300 – 500 unique hits a week which translates into approximately 15,000 – 25,000 hits during our first year. Our challenge this next year will be to make Jubon more valuable so that it becomes the first place that people look to find directories, business locations, business hours and such.

Though many businesses do not survive their first year, we are still here and ready to grow. We have several ideas for additional models for future communities. One model is to work through Chambers of Commerce. Another is to work through other nonprofit agencies. A third is to work through an ambitious individual. We will continue with all three models and are open to additional ideas.

So from Bonnie in Orange City, Iowa; Juliana in Bowling Green, Kentucky; Clint in Atherton, California; and Deb in Orange City, Iowa we wish you a wonderful new year and much success with Jubon.

Around the World in 103 Days

By Co-Founders: Bonnie Meier

Before the next issue of the Jubon Journal comes out Bonnie and her husband Lee will have stopped in the Grand Cayman Islands, Cartagena, Columbia and Acapulco, Mexico; cruised the Straight of Florida, the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean and transited the Panama Canal. At the time of our next publication we will be heading up toward San Francisco. We will try to keep people informed on Twitter as to what is happening on our trip. However, both Juliana and Deb will still be around to answer your Jubon questions and to take care of any Jubon concerns. Who knows, maybe Jubon will be able to go international by the end of our trip.
