Disc Golf Adventures of Jim and Juliana Juliana has been expanding her disc golf gifts into broadcasting and the first two weekends in April, she broadcast the FPO (Female Professional Open) tournaments over the Disc Golf Network. This weekend she is playing in the PDGA Champions Cup presented by Bushnell in Appling, Georgia. Then she heads to Arkansa and then back to California to play on the west coast for awhile. Jim played in the Bowling Green (Kentucky) Open last week and took first place in his age division. This marks his 100th career, singles win. He will caddy for Juliana for the next two weeks and then will start playing the California circuit himself. They are living quite the adventure.

Book Reviews I'm only going to give one book report this month because I don't like long newsletters and I've taken up a lot of room with Tulip Festival activities.
Fighting to Survive by Rhiannon Frater.
I usually don't choose to read science fiction books, but this one was amazingly good. The copyright was in 2009 and this is actually Book 2 of a three part trilogy. However, it was a good stand alone book, too. The story is the beginning of a new world after the old one was destroyed by zombies. It takes place in Texas. Rhiannon Frater was born in 1969 in Texas and is best known for her As the World Dies trilogy. The book is soft cover and 364 pages long and sells for $3.00. We just have one copy. ![]() |
