Jubon Juweelen Online Many items from Jubon Juweelen can now be purchased online on two different websites. Some of the Dutch themed Tulip Festival items can be found on the Orange City Tulip Festival site at octulipfeatival.com/shop. You can find wooden shoes, tiles, books, and more. You can find many of our other items at shopwhereilive.com. To see just the items from Jubon Juweelen, use this link. Shop Where I Live is an Iowa based company that encourages people to support their local small businesses. They say it is where Main Street meets the Internet. They create marketplace websites in partnership with Chambers of Commerce and Main Street Communities to help local small businesses sell their products and services together, and create a one-stop shop for their community to buy local online. It is an effort to help small businesses and communities to fight back and capture some of the local online sales that are going elsewhere, by making it convenient to shop local, online. It is organized by community or area. Our store is located in the site entitled Northwest Iowa Development. Northwest Iowa Development consists of the four NW counties in Iowa plus LeMars. You can order items online and then either pick them up at the store location, or in our case, we will deliver anywhere in the four county area, plus LeMars. We don't charge anything for deliveries to Alton or Orange City, but we have a $5.00 charge for anywhere else in the four county area, plus LeMars. Each business in Orange City can have 25 items on this site at no charge to us, so it is a pretty good deal if we can just get people to find the site. We can feature some of the items that people don't realize we have. We just starting putting items on this site and so far we have a couple of new books, some necklaces, and collectible disc golf discs. We will soon add the energy bars Rickaroons to this site. ![]()
Businesses Opening Up In our little community businesses have started opening up, with cautions. My husband and I just got hair cuts for the first time in over two months. You can eat out with limited capacities (we haven't ventured out for that yet). And other stores are gradually opening up. Our Governor has used a lot of common sense and basically puts the responsibility on each of us to behave in a responsible fashion. We sold puzzles throughout the two months, but we delivered and no one was ever in contact with anyone.
We actually still have three puzzles left, one is new, but is for a young child and two are used,
but in very good shape.
One is entitled Just Married
The other puzzle we have left is a 1500 piece color block Ravensburger Puzzle as shown in the image below. It is quite high quality and sells used for $17.00.

Used Books We have a large variety of used books (and some new ones) for sale. Most of the books sell for $2.00 - $3.00. We were going to have a large book sale at the Orange City Wide Garage Sales which were originally scheduled for April 18. However, those were postponed and it looks like they might occur sometime in June. If we have another newsletter before they are scheduled we will let you know. If it occurs before our next scheduled newsletter, maybe we can just send out a quick notice. If and when it occurs, we will have a table of used books on sale at a reduced price. Many of the books we have were best sellers. ![]() | |||||
