Vendor's Fair January 24 and 25 during Orange City Crazy Dayz

On Thursday, January 24 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. we will be holding a Vendor's Fair at the location of our former store, i.e. 107 3 rd Street NE. We will hold it again on Friday, January 25 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Those attending include Bath Fitter with Brandy Hartman, Beljoy Jewelry with Amber Den Hartog, Color Street and Lilla Rose with Breanne Cedar, Crafts and Sew On with LaVonne Warntjes, Fahrenbruch Gardens with Miranda Fahrenbruch, Jubon Juweelen with Bonnie Meier, Pampered Chef with Semantha Bomgaars and The Little Things with Mona Murran. On Thursday Country Barn Wines will be having wine tasting from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Jubon Juweelen will have a room of interesting items all at 75% off (just for Crazy Dayz). We will also have the new Dutch Cookbook "Receptenboek Van De Nederlandse Huisvrouw" written by Renae Vander Schaaf and Bonnie Meier available.

Hilt Real Estate Handling sale of building

Wooden Shoes Available at a discount

It is hard to believe that in less than four months the Tulip Festival will be over. We are in the process of resupplying our wooden shoe inventory. We have four different choices for wooden shoes. All of them are made in the Netherlands. Our most popular shoe and the least expensive is the plain wood one. People can customize them in any way they like. Often they are painted with just plain paint or even with personal designs. We also have red mill shoes which have a red base and a windmill on top. The traditional shoe looks kind of like shoelaces across the shoe and is one of the most basic designs. There is a special shoe called a wedding shoe which has fancy carving and is often used at weddings (sometimes people just put them next to the guest book and people are supposed to put money in them when they sign in.) If you want what is called the "Vogel" shoe, you need to purchase those from the Chamber office. It is a special design with little birds on them. We also have wooden shoe garden clogs and two designs of wooden shoe carpet slippers. If you are buying shoes and taking part in any part of the Tulip Festival, we give a discount to help encourage participation.

Beauty and the Beast Performance

The night show this year will be Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday - Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 each and all seating is reserved. I would recommend you get your tickets soon if you would like to go because many of the best seats are already taken and they are often sold out if you wait too long. You can buy them directly on line at octulipfestival.com/plan-your-visit/tickets/ and click on the tickets. You will be able to pick out the seat that you like and you can print your tickets right after you order them.
